BrainI had a haemorrhage (internal bleeding) called a cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation and because of that I had I stroke. It was a congenital disorder of blood vessels with tangles of veins and arteries located in left part of the brain. The haemorrhage was extensive - it was 6cm.

At the beginning my whole right hand side was paralysed. I couldn't walk or use the right arm and my speech was gone. After the Vincent Pallotti at the ICU, I move to the UCT Private Hospital for the rehabilitation. I want people to realise that the fact that I am writing again is unbelievable.



Warning Signs

When I had the stroke I had all the warning sign on my right hand side. Their can be many risk factors but because I was young the problem was high blood pressure. The reason I had the stroke is that I had an AVM congenital disorder which caused a bleed and then I had the stroke.
